Luján


Luján is located 71 Km. to the west of the City of Buenos Aires, and is divided by the river carrying the same name. This city is well-known because of its Impressive neo-Gothic basilica, the most important religious shrine in Argentina, with 106 meter tall spires rising up above the Pampas plains.
Since the 17th century, an image of the Virgin Mary - the Virgin of Luján - has been venerated in this basilica, which is of outmost importance in the Catholic world.
This place also offers visitors an outstanding historical museum.
